About the Organisers

Lonely Llama CIC

Together We Thrive is proudly hosted by Lonely Llama CIC, a community interest company based in Caister On Sea, dedicated to reducing loneliness, improving wellbeing, and strengthening connections within our community.

At Lonely Llama, we believe that nobody should have to face life's challenges alone. We work to connect people with local support, promote positive mental health, encourage community involvement, and create opportunities for people to build meaningful relationships. Through community projects, events, information and signposting, our aim is simple – to bring people together and help create stronger, more connected communities.

Together We Thrive was created with this vision in mind. Rather than simply hosting another community event, we wanted to create a space where local organisations, charities, community groups, businesses and residents could come together in one place. The event allows visitors to discover the incredible support available across our borough, try new activities, meet local organisations, and make connections that continue long after the event has finished.

This event is about collaboration, community and making support more visible and accessible for everyone.

In Partnership with Rabbit Hutch

Together We Thrive is delivered in partnership with Rabbit Hutch, our venue partner and one of Caister-on-Sea's most valued community hubs.

Operated by volunteers, Rabbit Hutch is far more than a café. It provides a welcoming community space where people can meet, socialise and access a wide range of activities throughout the year. Every purchase made at the café helps support and improve the facilities at King George V Playing Field, ensuring the site continues to benefit local residents for years to come.

Without Rabbit Hutch's enthusiasm, support and partnership, Together We Thrive simply would not have been possible. From the very beginning, they have worked alongside Lonely Llama to help shape the event, provide the venue and ensure it delivers the greatest possible benefit for our community.

In Collaboration with the Eat Well and Thrive (EAT) Project

Together We Thrive is also proud to be supported by the Eat Well and Thrive (EAT) Project, an initiative focused on improving health, wellbeing and community connection.

The Eat Well and Thrive Project works to encourage healthier lifestyles, reduce social isolation and create opportunities for people to come together through food, activities, support and community engagement. Their work reflects the same values at the heart of Together We Thrive – creating welcoming spaces where people can connect, feel supported and become part of their community.

Through their collaboration and support, the Eat Well and Thrive Project has helped strengthen the event and ensure that Together We Thrive is a place where wellbeing, connection and community come together.

Working Together with Great Yarmouth Unity Project (GYUP)

Together We Thrive is also delivered in collaboration with Great Yarmouth Unity Project (GYUP).

GYUP is a partnership of charities, community groups, CICs and local organisations working together across Great Yarmouth and the surrounding villages. Their mission is to bring organisations together under one umbrella, encouraging collaboration, sharing knowledge and supporting projects that improve the health and wellbeing of local people.

The partnership between Lonely Llama, Rabbit Hutch, the Eat Well and Thrive Project and GYUP perfectly reflects what Together We Thrive is all about.

By bringing organisations together instead of working separately, we can create stronger partnerships, reach more people, reduce duplication, and make it easier for residents to find the support they need.

Because when communities work together, everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
